Ride Snow Summit's breathtaking Sky Chair to the top of Big Bear to reach scenic bike trails that pack an adrenalin rush. Or cruise the gentle North Shore Bike path. Big Bear Valley also offers some of the most beautiful and serene hiking and biking trails in Southern California. Our bike rental shops are equipped to handle all skill levels.

Big Bear Lake has it all...paddle boating, pontoon boating, sailing or power boating... windsurfing, sailboarding, wakeboarding waterskiing or jet skiing... canoeing or kayaking. Boats and equipment can be rented at any one of the marinas that dot the lake's 23 miles of shoreline. Marinas are open spring, summer and autumn. Private boat permits are required and can be purchased at any marina.

When you see the great sport fishing available at Big Bear Lake, you'll be hooked - but good. Trout, large and small mouth bass, blue gill (sunfish), crappie, and catfish are all in plentiful supply. Licenses and supplies can be purchased at sporting good stores and marinas.

Big Bear has quite a history, so on your getaway, you might want to do a little time traveling. Walk through our community's colorful and romantic past through the Big Bear Historical Museum and its grounds. The museum is open weekends May through October.
